Let Me Play Athletics Camp 2010! Join today!
Let Me Play are looking forward to the upcoming 2012 Olympics in London. With the growing popularity of athletics events, we are pleased to announce the launch of our first Athletics Camp for this summer!
Sports organizations in the United Kingdom are experiencing a new demand for projects to satisfy the curiosity for athletics in young people. There are now more than 1,270 athletics clubs in the United Kingdom, with 110,000 participants filling their ranks.
Let Me Play’s Athletics Camp will take place from the 8 – 13 August 2010 at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury. Young aspiring athletes aged 10 – 18 will have the opportunity to learn about the different dimensions of Athletics while training with experienced coaches and current and ex-professional athletes. There are both residential and non-residential options.
All participants will spend the week learning how to perform the high jump, throw a javelin, sprint over hurdles and hurl the discus. Instructors will lead the campers through technique work, speed and agility training, stations and daily competitions. To supplement the physical training at camp, there will be workshops on nutrition, sports psychology, and conditioning for each athlete.
